Topic: JOG RING COLOR DDJ-FLX 10
I wish the jog ring color setting for the ddj flx10 for stems can be set in two ways the first stem to 'stems 1' and the other to "stems 2' because personally I prefer the ring to change colors whenever I isolate one of the stems let's say vocal I prefer the jog ring to change to purple not to stay white but in the current set up virtual dj decides for you and mostly the ring stays to white when 1 stem part is isolated

This functionality is hardcoded in device firmware and cannot be changed.
VirtualDJ Mapping is not capable of controlling any Stem colors for the Jog Ring. Once you select the "Stems" (default) value in PIFLX10-jogRingColor Setting, the device firmware decides how to show the colors and their mix.

You cannot either select a different color for each Deck or side. the same setting as above gives u the option to select a different color (not by script) but will apply to both Jog Rings
 
Okay but when I go to virtual dj settings and re-select stems in virtual dj the ring works the way I want and also I saw two settings for rekord box on pioneer dj you tube channel for the ddj flx10 review so I thought it could be a software setup as it is for rekord box
 
Hmm, not sure i follow you.. can you provide some detailed steps to see what u mean by Ring Color being white when some Stems are muted/soloed ?
When using the 3 STEMS buttons on the top of each Deck/side on the FLX-10 (Nr.36 in https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddjflx10/layout/decks.html ), the Ring color is getting the single Stem color (or a mix of them) but not white unless al 3 are on
 
Just tried RB with FLX10 to see this second option you mentioned.
There is indeed one but not sure if its much useful to add.
What happens with this option is .. when more than 1 Stem is soloed (e.g. you have Vocals and Instr enabled so Drums muted) the Jog ring gets white , so u cant tell the difference between this state and the one all Stems are enabled.
 
 
Added for next release, but really dont see how useful that is.
If you have 2 of the 3 Stems enabled, you get a white, same as if you have all 3, so u cant tell the difference from the Jog Ring color.

And to be honest, this whole implementation from Pioneer is a bit overloaded and useless feature. You have the Stems buttons (with colors) right above the Jogs, why would you need to see a color on the Jog Ring to show the same info ? They could have given a simple and flexible Jog Ring MIDI control and be able to color the Ring based on VDJ actions, like green when in loop, red when slip mode , orange when FX , give separate decks-coloring and really endless possibilities, yet they have chosen a gimmick coloring..anyways, not my cup of tea.
 
It's useful to me cause it's easier to look on a jog than a isolation button thaxx by the way for your response
 
Stem Solo was implemented but not yet working correctly it still works the same as stems yet it should automatically work as it should be
